I purchased the frame in Torino, and had the frame repainted by Giovanni Nencini in Florence (his dad won the TDF with Carpano). When Pela finished building bikes his tools went to Tomassini (the shop confirmed this), and Giovanni said there is a Pela register with Tomassini (i.e. frame numbers), so we could work out the serial number.
